Continuing a Life of Service: Celebrating Julia Hyde's Next Chapter

Date Published

At Humanity for Prisoners, the vital work we do relies heavily on dedicated individuals operating behind the scenes—often without the public recognition they deserve. Today, we are proud to turn the spotlight on one of those integral former team members: our former web developer, Julia Hyde.

While many of our friends and supporters may not have met Julia personally during her tenure at HFP, the digital work she did for us until late last year was a crucial piece of our operations. Just months after concluding her role with HFP, Julia graduated from Grand Valley State University this spring and has since begun a new chapter of service.

Today, Julia is answering a personal calling as a full-time campus missionary with FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. In this role, she mentors college students, leads small groups, and guides young adults as they build strong moral foundations during their most formative years.

A calling to serve takes many forms. Some are called to feed the hungry, others to provide prison ministry and re-entry services, and some, like Julia, are called to guide our youth. By helping students build authentic, supportive communities, Julia is actively cultivating the next generation of compassionate leaders, advocates, and philanthropists. Her mission today helps shape the very individuals who will go on to champion justice and support the long-term vision of organizations like HFP in the future.

To sustain her full-time outreach work, Julia is currently building a support network of independent mission partners. We wanted to share her recent success and provide a way for our community to stay connected. If you are interested in following her journey or supporting her mission with the next generation, you can connect with her directly below.
